Rokkedahl Energi provides sustainable energy solutions for agriculture and industry. In Denmark, we are a leader in heat exchangers for agriculture, with almost 400 plants in operation. A position that has been achieved through an unwavering commitment to our customer relationships, and through solutions that benefit both business and the environment.

In addition to agriculture, you will find our heat exchangers in some perhaps unexpected places such as blacksmith workshops, grain dryers and whisky distilleries. Our installations have also long since moved beyond the country’s borders with the installation of heat exchangers in Norway, Sweden and Germany.

In continuous dialogue with customers and manufacturers, we ensure that our products are adapted to customer needs. We also put a lot of effort into collaborating with educational and research institutions as well as authorities and consultants so that we constantly gain new knowledge which allows us to constantly be a leader in our field.

Our story

Rokkedahl Energi from 2012 to the present

2012

In 2012, Rokkedahl Energi is established. Anja Møller and Jesper Toft join the group of owners and take care of the day-to-day operations.

Rokkedahl Energi provides solutions for energy and environmental optimisation of livestock farming and industry.

In the same year, the first heat exchangers are installed
at Rokkedahl Landbrug’s chicken houses, among others.

2013

Already the following year, Rokkedahl Energi has sold their first 100 heat exchangers. The customers here are mainly from the agricultural industry, who have really opened their eyes to the advantages of the heat exchanger.

It is primarily the energy-saving opportunities and higher animal welfare that are in focus.

In the same year as the sale of 100 heat exchangers is reached, Rokkedahl Energi also makes the first projects for the industrial segment. Here, heat exchangers are installed in both a forging workshop and a grain dryer.

2016

Rokkedahl Energi is experiencing growth, and now the company is starting to look abroad.

The first foreign project takes place in Sweden, where the first project is installed in 2016. Since then, many more have been made!

At the same time as Rokkedahl Energi begins exporting to Sweden, collaboration begins with Norwegian Felleskjøbet Rogaland Agder on the sale of heat exchangers to the Norwegian poultry market. Already in the same year, the first heat exchanger is installed in Norway.

2017

In 2017, Rokkedahl Energi completes another project in the industry, this time at Stauning Whisky. Two heat exchangers with a capacity of 60,000 m3 are installed to be used in connection with the actual drying of the malt, which is an essential process when producing whisky.

The heat exchangers are installed with an automatic washing system, heating surfaces and bypass function that can work even in very dusty environments.

2020

In 2020, the first heat exchanger is installed at an egg-laying barn in Denmark. Rokkedahl Energi is responsible for the project in the barn, which houses 33,000 laying hens at Jens Skovgaard’s farm.

2022

Rokkedahl Energi installs their first project in Germany and opens up for a new export adventure!

2023

In 2023, a pilot project at Troldtekt is completed in collaboration with Nordic Green Solutions.

In 2023, Rokkedal Energi also hits another milestone in connection with the installation of heat exchanger no. 500.

Part of something bigger

Rokkedahl Energi is part of the Rokkedahl Group, which also includes Rokkedahl Landbrug and Rokkedahl Food. We are headquartered in Himmerland but have a workplace throughout Scandinavia.

At Rokkedahl, we have been raising chickens since 1963, and we are constantly working to develop and optimise processes within everything from upbringing and feed to slaughter. In this way, we ensure that animal welfare and meat quality are top notch and that we, at the same time, have the least possible impact on the environment.

Here, the heat exchangers from Rokkedahl Energi play a major role, providing energy savings and creating a better housing environment for the animals. Heat exchangers have also proven to be of great benefit to industry, where they can, among other things, minimise dust emissions.
